This is not a blog like you are used from us. On one hand because we have had little time this week, on the other hand because we really want to help these guys out and we don’t want to keep this from you. We really want to tell you a little bit about our American friends, who recently started their own travel company, We Mush Dash. Next week, you can read about our world trip adventures again.
Couchsurfing in Buffalo, New York State, USA
Almost three years ago, we were on a holiday in northern USA/ southern Canada. We just finished our visit to Niagara Falls. We went to see the Canadian side first, and then we crossed to the American side. It was already dark when we finished and we didn’t have a place to stay that night yet. So far we’d been Couchsurfing quite a lot, most of the times sitting at McDonalds for the free WiFi at night, hoping to find a place to sleep. And this worked basically every time!
Also this night. Allison, Stephanies sister, invited us to the house of Brandon and Stephanie, where there was a party going on. We arrived almost at midnight and we stopped with our rental car in front of a typical American house, with lots of noise coming from the back yard. As we hesitatingly stepped out of the car, Brandon came walking towards us. “Ah, you must be the Couchsurfers”, he said. He helped carry our stuff into the house and showed us our bedroom. Then it was time for some beers. The house was super crowded with friends and family of Brandon and Stephanie. They were all very nice to us and super welcoming. We had a lot of fun playing beer pong and other drinking games with the typical red plastic cups the USA is so known for.
We Must Dash
The day after we enjoyed watching Brandon and Stephanies football game in the park. We had some great Buffalo food and enjoyed an ice cream in the sun. After that, unfortunately, it was time for us to leave. Because we had such a great time with these guys we always kept in touch on Facebook. That’s how we noticed that they recently started their own business, We Must Dash!
